Now he wants to ease restrictions on mass gatherings based on population density. This will overrule states to lift the stay home rules in areas Trump calls "the real America". Exactly where he needs to hold his base.

Yes, he feeds off those rallies in the same way Hitler did in Nazi Germany, but he's gotta love what's going on now:

1) He gets to stand in front of a bunch of people way smarter than he is, each and every day

2) Joe Biden is reduced to giving Skype-quality interviews from what looks like an undisclosed location

3) Andrew Cuomo is making Joe Biden look less than presidential

4) Trump's numbers have never been better during nearly all of his term, and the checks still haven't even gone out yet.

He's got to have someone telling him that things are going his way, with the present setup.
