Ted Lieu offers Trump an alternative to all-caps tweeting about ventilators.

Ted Lieu
@tedlieu

US House candidate, CA-33

Dear @realDonaldTrump: Glad you reversed yourself & now realize the US is short on ventilators.

Also, you can do more than just tweet in all caps about GM Lordstown & Ford. You can ensure this happens by activating the Defense Production Act. Lives are at stake.

Has he actually seen a ventilator? Has he got an image of an 'Iron Lung' bouncing around inside his empty head?

He'll latch onto something and repeat it over and over again, believing that repeating it ad nauseum makes him the expert. It matters not that he doesn't know what the fuck he's saying. Just as long as it sounds good, and that he comes off as "tough." It's all about his image. Always has been.

All have ramped up production. It would seem to make more sense to give contracts to established vendors than to try to retool an auto manufacturer. Here’s an article from Bioworld identifying some key manufacturers of medical grade ventilators—not all in the US.

He can't admit he doesn't know something, when actually he doesn't know much of anything and he's too stubborn and arrogant to ask. That makes him that more dangerous.

I'm sure his gut will guide him wisely!

has a prototype ventilator ready. They should be able to ramp up quickly as the same principles of air movement apply.. Few seems to be thinking well or critically (which is exactly what the dumpster wants as he sows chaos). What became know as Value Engineering which was born during WW2 to determine how to produce products when many materials were not available.

Trump will not enact the Defense Production Act during this crisis?

There has to be a personal reason. He doesn't do or say anything unless he has something to gain or something to lose.

If you figure it out, please post. I don't know enough about the act to figure it out on my own. Nevertheless, the gain/lose factor is there. It probably has to do with money or fame because those two things are what drives that orange machine. It certainly isn't love of God, country or family.
