Gov. Andy Beshear to Kentuckians: Do not travel to Tennessee

...

"We have taken very aggressive steps to try to stop or limit the spread of the coronavirus to try to protect our people," Beshear said. "But our neighbors from the south, in many instances, are not."

"If you are a Kentuckian living on that border, I need you to not go to Tennessee for anything other than work or helping a loved one or maybe the grocery, if it is there closer," he continued. "If you ultimately go down over that border and go to a restaurant or something that's not open in Kentucky, what you do is you bring the coronavirus back here in Kentucky."

Kentucky has 302 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of Friday evening, Beshear said. Meanwhile, Tennessee has more than 1,200 confirmed cases, according to the state's health department website.

...

Beshear, who said he hasn't spoken with Lee, added that it wouldn't be fair to consider ordering to close the border between the two states.

“We consider different options every single day," Beshear said. "I’m not there yet.”

maybe that will put some pressure on TN to finally do the right thing

going to have it even worse than I said it would be.

It will be devastating and 90% of it is directly the fault of Donald Rump

in short, avoid dying. All because some Tenn. shopkeeper wants to make a few bucks off of his KY neighbors (or in any other states bordering other such 'closed' states).

Clarksville, TN near Ft. Campbell, KY. Same with Louisville and Ft. Knox and many others.

We don't need our bases becoming hotbeds of infection, considering frequent close proximity of groups of soldiers.

Example of carelessness:

Clarksville Police had to visit three bars on Tuesday that were violating state orders to close their operations during the coronavirus outbreak.

In each case, the owners were continuing to serve groups of customers, according to a news release from city spokesman Richard Stevens.

“The bar owners and staff were informed of the details of the orders, and they were receptive and complied quickly," Jim Knoll, Clarksville Police spokesman, said in the release.
