We have two cell phones and a landline, and were subjected to many calls per day - car warranties, Medicare programs, credit card "issues," etc. I can't remember the last time we got a call from a scammer. You?

Maybe with most people staying home or ordered to the spammers are at home instead of working.

(1,611 posts)Usually when they do leave a message its a robotic voice with bad grammar telling me its the IRS and theres an arrest warrant in my name if I dont call them back within a day. Maybe its the bad grammar in the message thats the dead give away, but I have yet to get arrested for not returning their phone call.

Unfotunately, since I have my work phone forwarded to the cell I have to answer calls from an unknown number - and I have to answer with my name.
Had a warranty call yesterday, and at least one call the day before (don't remember the source)

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
