Detroit Free Press writer goes off on IMPotus (tRump just lost Michigan)

Mitch Albom: Hey, (Impeached) President tRump: Her name is Gretchen Whitmer

First of all, she has a name. Gretchen Whitmer. She is not “the woman..."
<snip>

She’s not speaking for herself. She’s speaking for the people.

So let’s get this straight. The leader of our great country, when he feels that he hasn’t been treated “right,” doesn’t return the call of a governor begging for help to save the lives of her constituents?

tRump to Michigan: Leave a Message.

I have tried to shy away from too much Donald Trump criticism during this crisis, to look away from his incoherent ramblings, to shake a head at his massive exaggerations, to sigh when he tells the world he’d like “all the churches full” on Easter,...
<snip>

But when political pettiness can hold up shipments that might keep our Michigan loved ones and medical personnel alive? Well. No one should be silent.

You’re familiar with the New Testament passage about, “When I was a child, I spoke as a child … but when I became a man, I put away childish things”?

Time’s up, Mr. President. - Detroit Free Press

And he goes on and on, leaving no doubt in any Michigonian's mind that we're dealing with a snowflake sociopath as IMPOtus.

Babies than abortions do. Look at all of their policies, they are designed to punish and euthanize people, including babies.

Republican policies and their numbers do not add up with how many people they endanger and kill, including babies. All of their policies kill people, especially when they want to make humans extinct. The Jesus Juicers do not have tickets aboard their alleged spaceships that will supposedly take them to their new world and God is going to be really pissed at their involvement in killing so many people, including babies.

At the end just tell them, lie to yourself if you must, but you know that you will never be able to lie to God.

They can lie to themselves, but they know that they will not be able to lie to God. They all know one day they will meet their maker and their eternal reckoning will come.

Eventually, it will consume them and they cannot hide from it. Keep reminding them, so they never forget it.

Just sayin'. (I've got my petty nit-pick hat on today).

Anyway, I have family in Michigan, two of whom voted for tRump. I'm attempting to drive home the message that tRump is putting politics above their health and well being, maybe it will sink in.

Now is not the time to be a child, Mr. President. Now is the time to put away childish things. To be a man. You can begin by respecting a woman. Her name is Gretchen Whitmer. She is our governor. And like her or not, she represents us to you. She counts. We count. Please, at least act like you understand that.

Having traveled so much through life before retiring years ago, I missed out on years of reading time.

Not sure I'll ever get through the list of excellent works I have here and bookmarked on Amazon. Hell, I even have an old Charles Kuralt book and a Al Franken book here to read.

I see he now has a sequel.......

I always understood the job of the President is a weighty one long before he denied Michigan face time. This isn't just about people's 401ks, or about just jobs in general. We rely on them to make good, sound decisions in matters both great and small. Why in hell people didn't do their due diligence BEFORE he ended up on Pennsylvania Ave. (at least once in a while), confounds me to this day. Maybe you shoulda jumped in both feet instead of "shying away" from what you really think and believe. Worst case scenerio you'd find out who your real friends are. The nice people here at DU just wanted to say "told ya so"!! Hope stickin' it to the libs was worth it for ya.
