If Trump botched the coronavirus response, then why are his approval ratings still rising?

He's up roughly one point from six weeks ago.

It's a meaningless blip and should be much higher considering the "rally around the flag" effect. As things become clearer, more people start dying, and his incompetence becomes more obvious, they will likely drop.
