Rep. Ted Lieu Says Trump And Fox News Are To Blame For Severity Of U.S. Coronavirus Outbreak

Last edited Wed Apr 1, 2020, 04:20 AM - Edit history (1)

Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) said on Tuesday that the constant downplaying of the coronavirus from Donald Trump and Fox News contributed to the severity of the outbreak that is now wreaking havoc across the United States.

In an interview with MSNBC’s Ari Melber, the Democratic lawmaker said, “The president kept saying things that were false and misleading, and it led a lot of people to go and not social distance, it led a lot of people to take actions they shouldn’t have.”

Rep. Lieu added, “[Fox News] just kept giving false information, misleading information to many Americans, and they really should apologize for what they did.”

Keep repeating that fact over and over. Just let the conservative incompetence sink in as we watch the body bags going into truck trailers.

I know there will be cases where the causal chain can be proven. I hope people take it to the courts and sue the propagandist liars on air and the organization and producers who allowed them to mislead people into killing themselves or a loved one.

Then you should be liable for screaming “just ignore it” to people in a flooding basement.

Oh its not that he is doing a good job........far from it in fact but rather imo the ones we should really hold accountable are the Republican Senators who decided to fuck the American people and the nation over by not impeaching Trump because they wanted him to stack the court with more judges of their choice.
