https://www.huffpost.com/entry/how-to-make-face-mask-from-fabric-covid-19_l_5e834a20c5b62dd9f5d628e8Gives different methods for making masks given that first responders need all the manufactured masks they can get. I'm going shopping for cat food in a few and will wear the scarf since I don't have the materials needed. I will still do my best to stay 6 ft away from anyone, but it's hard in the aisles which are only 3 ft apart.

That will keep people away.
New ones of course.

(4,572 posts)3. There was a scientific study posted a few days ago on DU: Dish towels are better than scarves...
and the only thing ranked higher than dish towels (except for real masks) was coffee filters. Maybe a combo dish towel-coffee filter would do the trick?

After giving my normal ones to my brothers, all I've got left is a pink camo one from my chemo days...

So yesterday I ordered some extra large ones yesterday from Amazon. I will try to make masks with filters from them, and if that doesn't work well w/what we've got at home, will just wear them cowboy style to the store.
