One of my neighbors was on that ship. They were stuck for a week until finally they were allowed to take a flight to the U.S.

all passengers, foreign or domestic, and getting those who tested positive proper treatment, or facilities so they could quarantine for 14 days

This reminds during the AIDs crisis, how some states dumped HIV patients to San Francisco. Feinstein was Mayor then, and was a hero giving support and comfort to those going through this, and San Francisco became the leader in the treatment of HIV, fighting the Reagan administration every inch of the way to funding

It is sad, but no surprise that DeSantis and trump hold the same mindset as Reagan
