Rage

At this moment, it seems that the Constitution really is a suicide pact. There are only two ways to remove this beast from the White House: Impeachment; or the 25th amendment. Yet every moment this inhumane creature occupies the White House, someone is dying or dead.

A mostly sane population is living under the whims of a madman. Yet, there is no way to drag him away and exile him to some other planet.

If/when this ends, and the day comes when Democrats control the White House, the Senate and the House, I believe that new laws, rules, regulations, and penalties will quickly be enacted. After all, Trump has blazed the trail in using "presidential findings," or "executive orders," to do whatever the hell he wanted to do. It's time for the Democratic Party to put on brass knuckles and totally destroy the out-in-the-open fascism that is destroying us.

Yes, the coronavirus doesn't care about politics. But Trump and Republicans have made a deadly situation far more horrible than it should have been.

My personal choice would be to drag the orange creature from the Oval Office and hang him on the White House lawn. And then outlaw the Republican Party the way Germany outlawed the Nazi Party after WWII. However, we can't do those things because we're a civilized country. Or at least we used to be.

Anyhow, I never believed I could reach the level of rage with which I am currently filled. But one thing I'm pretty sure of is that America will never be the same as it was before this Trump/Republican attack on our civilization.

to keep the Evangelicals happy, IQ45 should be joined by one on each side: Moscow Mitch McTurtle on the right and "Medal of Honor" Rush (why not, he's "due" to be gone soon anyhow, right?) on the left.

I'm sure Kellyanne will be there watching and IQ45 will look down on her and say, "I'm not responsible for this!"

SCOTUS - no. Those people were legally appointed - technically.

The antidote for SCOTUS is for the congress to expand it from 9 to 13 and for the new POTUS to appoint 4 more justices without filibuster. Same goes for all appellate courts.

When there is no antidote, one can dilute the poison below toxic levels by adding other diluents.

And that would still require 67 votes.

It is much easier to dilute them with a simple majority.

Need 67 votes for Supreme Court person to rid of him.

The next president is going to have to rebuild every department and I’m not kidding. They are a shell of what they were almost every one of them.

best answer right now, much like we needed Speaker Pelosi to take control of the House.

He is probably already reassembling a major corps of former civil servants to return to their former posts to reconstruct the agencies and other components of the government that have been ousted and dismantled.

10. The SCOTUS can be expanded
Wed Apr 1, 2020, 03:56 PM

With Dems in charge of the presidency, the house and senate, the SCOTUS can be expanded to nine or ten justices. And with a Dem president appointing them and a Dem senate confirming them, that should be sufficient to nullify the seats that have been filled by judicial dinosaurs.

There's nothing in the Constitution that establishes how many SCOTUS judges there should be.

Trump and his admin have effectively destroyed decades of progress in the matter of a few years. To rebuild effectively will take far longer than it did to tear it all down. Perhaps, I am wrong. It is my greatest fear that we are seeing the destruction of all the progress made in the last 40 years.

I hope we can rebuild. I hope I live to see it.

I do not underestimate Trumps handlers. They were very shrewd and effective at tearing down the checks and balances that were put in place. I believe this was a corporate coup. Trump is merely their willing idiot, their corporate stooge, the mouthpiece who says anything he wants - a good distraction - while their cold hands dismantle protections and departments for their own benefit.

This is just my opinion and I could be wrong.

Stay well.
