Where is Trump getting his (mis)information?

He drops all kinds of numbers and stats, most of which are easily discredited. So is he just making them up, using questionable sources like TV celebrity hosts, or is he pulling crap out of his ass as he riffs through these daily press briefing?

He said he wasn't even aware of any shortages in critical hospital supplies. Isnt he getting daily briefings from experts on the effects of the virus on the country, or is he dismissing them as a hoax? This into his looping on every TV network, with the possible exception being Faux News, how can he be that unaware?

He says hospitals don't need such large numbers of ventilators, disputing the experts and going with his churning gut. This morning there was a news story that said Trump was sending hospital supplies to Europe because we were so overstocked. How can he be so badly misinformed? Is there a conspiracy to keep him in the dark, some cabal of anti government anarchists, or is it Trump's own circle of sycophants who only tell Trump what he wants to hear?

No one makes and informed decision without reliable information, so where is Trump getting his info from?

As well as his delusional and diseased brain.

When Trump decides he believes something to be true, facts don't matter. He is right no matter the evidence to the contrary. He truly thinks he knows it all. That he knows more than anyone.

Trump has been described as scouring outlets that he likes and running with stories that, as you said, are pretty easily debunked. People who have reportedly, been involved with Trump have said that once he gets something in his head, he will hold that thought despite being told and shown evidence to the contrary.

Trump also lies. He is not above making up numbers and information or using numbers that he may have heard that may have loose or no association to reality.

Trump appears to subscribe to the idea that facts and "truth" are malleable and are merely a matter of the strength of one's opinions and force of will.

9. Trump was listening to libertarian nut Richard Epstein of Hoover Institution and other conservatives

Epstein (considered a top legal expert in right wing conservative circles who advise Trump) wrote an article two weeks ago claiming that US would not have more than 100 deaths, then he amended his opinion to 2,000 and his latest estimate was only 5,000 which we have almost already reached.

Trump only accepted reality of likely death toll after Epstein and other right wingers' views have been totally discredited by reality and facts on the ground.

He must not be very good at whatever it is he does since his predictions are laughably inaccurate.

Seriously, there are any number of scientific models put out by the experts that chart the effects of the corona virus. So where is this clown getting his outrageously low numbers? Ouija board, some online random number generator, maybe he pulls a slip of paper out of a top hat and presses it to his forehead...

I dunno, if he's been wrong so often, he's surely lost whatever credibility he might have had, even amongst the most diehard cult members. I'm joking.

but even many in the Federalist Society consider him on the extreme right wing fringe of very influential wingnuts who have been warping Trump's views.
