And, while watching these shitshows, do you have any idea how difficult is is for these people to get any sort of question in, much less a proper followup? And Trump is the worst-- scolding and even throwing out reporters. Even in one on one interviews the victim can always walk off the stage or clam up and all your well crafted work goes to hell.

I once heard Terry Gross get so far under O'Reilly's skin that he blew up and walked out leaving her with the rest of the show to fill with... something. It was really genius on her part that she can be so quiet and pleasant and sneak into places nobody expects, or prepares for. Someone else (Tom Hanks, maybe?) Thanked her for taking him to new places and giving him a lot to think about. She works more like a shrink, or skillful interrogator, than a news reporter.
