"SNIP.....

If being out in public were entirely up to them at this moment during the global pandemic, a new Gallup poll finds 14% of Americans say they would resume their normal day-to-day activities right now, but the rest would hold off:

42% would wait until the number of new cases of COVID-19 declines significantly38% would wait until there are no new cases for some period of time7% would wait until a vaccine is developed

.....SNIP"

Experts are predicting an immense resurgence this fall, as was the case in 1918.

Idiotic school districts, I presume, will reopen in the fall, rather than staying online only & boom.

Sure hope experts are wrong, but I'm staying hunkered down.

Mama didn't raise no fools. I can see perfectly well what's going on here. If I have to sit here the next two years so be it.

I just hope nothing major breaks. If it does I might have to do without whatever it is if I can't fix it myself.

Is a video on how to fix anything. I learned how to arc weld to fix my trailer jockey-wheel. Not pretty but it works.

Whether, once this initial surge is over, Americans will revert to atrending large concerts, festivals, sporting events, etc.

Vaccine or not, I will continue to avoid massive gatherings.

they expect this to continue to see a rise of deaths. We may "flatten the curve" by July. Be me tally prepared for this.

We will see waves and when the numbers start to rise in Autumn we will be doing this again, but by then the infrastructure and supplies may be more able to handle it.

There will be long term effects I wonder how our kids will remember growing up during this time. My parents had the Great Depression imprinted on their psyches forever. I’m sure their parents always remember the 1918 pandemic.

from a declared end to the crisis before venturing out again. And that would be just for the purposes of restocking for the next wave, expected in the fall.
