Will come back to haunt them, and show their guilt with this. trump is intentionally hurting Americans , many off them his own , showing how little he cares about ones life. Wait for it, trump will be claiming he saved everyone then demands awards for it. He'll try to take credit for it when its gone , when everyone knows he did everything to make it worse. I think intentionally for his master, putin. Now putin will have him work on lifting the oil sanctions for him, maybe for election help , again.

One of the biggest hurdles to getting justice from the federal, state or local government, or an employee, or official, is the legal doctrine of sovereign immunity. This legal doctrine basically states that the government (the sovereign) is immune from liability (can't be held accountable in court). However, while immunity is an actual thing, under limited circumstances, the government cannot claim sovereign immunity to escape liability. This session of the United States Supreme Court is expected to provide more insights as to when immunity defenses will apply to police officers and federal agents that are being sued for civil rights violations.

Tort Claims Act

One of the most common ways for an individual to get around the issue of sovereign immunity is to comply with government tort claim acts that exist in most states, and even on the federal level for limited claims, such as auto accidents caused by federal employees.

Basically, most government entities require that any legal claim for injury or damages against it, or an employee acting on behalf of it, be filed with the entity prior to the filing of a lawsuit. Usually, the entity will have specific claim forms with instructions, or the state or local laws will provide detailed instructions on what is required to submit a valid claim. However, be forewarned, frequently, government injury or damages claims must be filed with the responsible entity within six months or less from the date of the injury.

Government Immunity

Generally, a government official or employee will be immune from liability so long as their conduct did not violate clearly established statutory or constitutional rights that a reasonable government employee should know. This type of immunity is called qualified immunity. This standard is frequently the subject of much debate, particularly as the inquiry about whether the statutory or constitutional right is so established, as well as whether the conduct rises to the level of a violation, are both fact intensive inquiries.

'We Must De-Trump the Airwaves to Protect Public Health Amid COVID-19 Outbreak.' "This is a life or death issue." Common Dreams, April 1, 2020.

As COVID-19 spreads from city to city, neighborhood to neighborhood and house to house, misinformation is being spread over the public airwaves by syndicated right-wing personalities and the media conglomerates that air their programs.

In many cases, radio and TV hosts like Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and Rush Limbaugh are simply following President Trump's lead as he convenes daily press briefings to boast about his supposed expertise, attack those he sees as political foes, demean the press corps, blame the disease's spread on immigrants and foreigners, and make false claims about the federal response to the global pandemic.

In other instances he's following the pundits' lead, using his daily national platform to repeat falsehoods he's gleaned from watching and listening to his favorite on-air personalities. The fault for this deadly cycle of misinformation rests with those telling lies about the lethal virus. But the radio and television stations that broadcast these falsehoods without context or disclaimers deserve a portion of the blame.

The national broadcast footprints of Hannity, Ingraham, and Limbaugh are the byproducts of one federal agency's failure to fulfill its most fundamental duty—promoting localism and diversity among broadcast licensees. This failure has been going on for decades...

As long as the Republicans control 3/4 of the government power structure. Fox is the propaganda wing of the Republicans and it will be protected with all the resources available to the Fascists.

But, to answer, the OP's question directly, of course you can sue anyone or any organization for any real or imagined slight. There will always be a lawyer ready to take your money.
