Could we see that happen by higher-ups in this administration?
This is not a fabulist notion on my part and I know I have lots of time on my hands sheltering in place. But it occurs to me that some high placed members of Trump's administration might be considering it. After all, many of them are insulated by wealth, so they "could" live anywhere else. But they would not want to be the target of an legal extradition process that would preclude doing it. And they would have the cushion of wealth so they would not be a burden to the country where they would live.

(102,141 posts)Maybe the Arab Emirates or S. Arabia and any number of the many less desirable locations with tenuous governments that don't extradite to the US.

Trump shoved the Montenegro President, so this is using a reverse Trumpism.
Trump lived his own Vietnam back home, but visited as President, another reverse Trumpism.
One would think he would jet off to Russia or a Baltic country or Scandinavia. I think it would be what we dont expect. Hopefully, its GreyBar Hotel.

Well, not really...
