2. I wonder if the travel distance for farts is the same as for viruses?

Is a fart molecule larger or smaller than a virus? How many parts per million of farts can a human smell? I hope someone is researching this.

4. But do not forget the phenomenon of the hanging fart...

Many years ago I was in a K-Mart in New Jersey in February. The place was empty of customers, but it was warmer than the snowdrifts outside.

So, at some point I felt that grumbling around inside that meant either a titanic fart building, or the first stage of serious diarrhea. Taking a major gamble, I went for the fart, As luck would have it, the fart won out, and it was a good one.

A spectular fart it was. The greenish cloud hung there by the shelves and as I watched in fascination the labels peeling off of cans and bottles, I heard voices in the next aisle.

Rushed three or four aisles down and heard the dulcet voice of children chattering... until...

"God DAMN! Who did that? It was you, wasn't it? "

"Not me!"

This went on for a while.

Thank heavens the fart won out. A deep brown stain on the back of your khakis is a tell-tale giveaway.
