ya'all, I think I am just downright depressed. The longer this goes on the less hope I have

and I am on anti-anxiety meds already

we have a family cruise (RCL) in June The whole family-brothers-sisters-kids-inlaws and all Probably the only time this will ever line up right.

We have all paid over a year ago.

This will probably not happen. I know it is the right thing but ...we have been planning this for years.

At least you knew ahead of time to cancel it. It is better to mentally prepare now than later on how to handle the loss of the cruise, family reunion and the money. Also, be glad you are not on that cruise right now. Imagine if you were on a ship learning you may be in a petri dish with your loved ones and you can't get off of the ship. Maybe you can start planning a new reunion and when and where it will be held (after a vaccine is found of course). Try to make lemonade out of the lemons.

I am trying to look on the good side.

I know the timing isn't great My sister has had 3 rounds of cancer and this time it might beat her.

I have read that if they cancel, we will get full price and then some to make up for the disruption

I lost trips too. I had a trip to Canada that I had cancel plans for, and I also had a trip to Hawaii coming up that I had to cancel for.

I'm at least grateful that both trips will be rescheduled. And when I'm in Hawaii I will get to see some old friends of mine who I haven't seen in years. So I am very much looking forward to that.

My dad had a trip to France that he's been planning for the last year and a half, and that's probably on hold for the foreseeable future.

I lost tickets to events and things like that, that I had planned. This really fucking sucks.

Yes, things are bad right now, but we will get through this. There will be light at the end of the tunnel at some point.

I've been in community college hoping to transfer to a university. But if I can't go to classes on a real campus, I don't think I am going to pursue an advanced degree. Part of the college experience is the campus life and that doesn't matter if you are living on campus or commuting.

Life's too short to pay that much money to sit in front of a computer screen all day.

What if you all went? How many of your loved ones might get sick? It’s awful to think about. It’s also awful to lose a bunch of money and have the let down of not going. Darn it.

And remember to tell yourself this is only temporary. When I saw this report, I chastised myself for feeling even the slightest bit sorry about my predicament. Can you even imagine having to do this?

We do not know what is coming.

Let it go.

Just take it day by day.

I lost my retirement on the road.

I have become a full time farmer at 66.

We have to eat.

I just hope we will get back to normal life as soon as possible. But with each day being worse than the next, I feel like I can't take much more of this. And I feel like I don't know when / if we will ever go back to the way things were.
