Trump says states need to "work out" competing bids for medical equipment for themselves

President Trump on Thursday said states need to work out competing bids for medical equipment among themselves, and continued to blame states for failing to stockpile medical equipment like ventilators. Governors are sounding the alarm that they are bidding against themselves, as well as the federal government, for much-needed medical equipment and supplies.

"Well they have that, and they have to work that out," Mr. Trump said, when asked about what should be done when states are fighting over orders of medical equipment.

Mr. Trump said states "should have been building their stockpiles," adding that the federal government is a "backup."

"We're a backup, we're not an ordering clerk, we're a backup, and we've done an unbelievable job," Mr. Trump said.

He enjoys the chaos. He is like the arsonist who sets a fire and then watches the destruction. He is a very sick man.

May all who have enabled, protected, and supported this monster one day find the meaning of Karma, not in the sense of physical pain or suffering, but rather in experiencing a moment of epiphany in which the must own their role in providing the matches.

So states should have stockpiled medical equipment for a disease that they didn't know
about? But the US government had stockpiled a lot of that equipment already but Mike
Pompeo shipped 18 tons of to China in Feb. of 2020.

The mother fucker needs gone now.

and fund preventative health care and detection programs. Each sate would need a team in China, India, etc. In the event that an outbreak was detected or anticipated by one of the 50 teams of scientists, each state would then need to establish their own immigration policy and screening procedures. Each state would do this hoping and praying that all the other states were doing all of this at the same time.

For states like Virginia that requires a balanced budget, these programs would have to be fully funded from General revenues.

Obama left the people, the procedures, and the infrastructure in place to deal w/
this C-19 in place and Trump got rid of the lot and now Jared is busy selling off the
Fed. Government's P.P.E. to the highest bidder.

And to think "they" investigated Bill Clinton for 7 years and 77 million $s for a fucking
blow job.

Ought to simply seize them and control distribution. The same for stocks held in hand by brokers. National Guard troops ought to be up to, and by now up for, the task.

It could well be not quite legal, but the thing could be a fait accompli before any court could rule, and even then enforcement of a court order is an executive, not a judicial function....

Well stated, Sir! I agree.

We do have an issue out here in the "nobody worth mentioning and over represented" states with those well armed but hardly regulated militias assembling around the vast properties of those millionaire/billionaires who have private compounds in the mountains now.

They want a showdown so there's that.

Are these people actually beginning to serve as de facto security for the wealthy out there? The question is genuine, not a lure or gambit. If the answer is yes, that would be a very bad development.

It was, by the way, a pleasure to cross words with you, Sir, and make your acquaintance. Be well, and stay safe!

I have been seeing them showing up individually and small groups. There are some well funded looking rigs and some very wealthy folks who are very afraid of the commonfolk now that we're really pissed off.

I suspect that a certain brother of a certain Cabinet member *cough DeVos* who has been preparing an insurgent militia since Wcheney. And now they are here with idiotBundy egging them on.

It's not a place to "bug out" if you aren't one of the "in" crowd right now. It's preppertime!

Yes, the second wave of nonlocals are the militia here to protect the trophyhomers who showed up a month ago.

He is killing us on purpose for personal profit and also to help PUtin, one of the few who profits from hs killing of America and Americans.

Divide and Conquer.
He will do anything to pit one against the other.
First it was religions when he banned travel from countries with large Muslim populations, then it was brown immigrants when he broke international law and caged the babies of asylum seekers. After Heather Heyer was murdered in Charlottesville he said Nazis were good people.

Now he wants the states to compete against one another in a life or death struggle. He would love nothing better than to make us forget that we are the UNITED States of America. He desires to pit one state against another. He wants governors to grovel for the survival of their citizenry.

He blames the mountain of his inadequacies on others and calls those who disagree "enemies". And yet, those closest to him are willing to sacrifice the lives and well being of millions of people just to gain favor with him.

wtf Universe are we living in?

Fri Apr 3, 2020, 10:14 AM
Apr 2020

You'd think a President would be trying to find ways to get supplies to the places that need them the most. But, no? Our President wants the states to bid up the prices for those supplies at wholesale outlets. Make a deal, as it were.

But why would a President do such a thing? The only thing I can think of is that our President will personally benefit in some way if the prices rise. What other reason could there be?

Time to check the flow of money, I would think, in those supply lines.

I could be wrong but the way he surrounds himself and appoints elite corporate types that then tear down our institutions is quite telling and leads me to believe that a corporate coup has taken place and this is all a big power/money grab.

They care not one wit for We The People, they care only about power/profit.

I am sure he will benefit in some way, but I think he is having to work for it by doing their bidding and selling America to the highest bidder.
