I hope the Red States with junk insur can handle this.

Loss of insurance from employment was always a reason for a special enrollment.
Those who are already enrolled in a marketplace plan can change their subsidy to account for reduced income. If the income is too low they will be sent to Medicaid.
This is not new.

If you have an income and a job. For those who don't that live in states that opted out of Medicaid, you are still SOL.
