Just read in The Palm Beach Post that gun sales are up

According to the report, most people were first-time buyers/owners.

This is being driven by fear. The biggest danger is that people will shoot themselves, or whoever they happen to be cooped up with during this "stay at home" era.

It seems that these sales peaked a couple of weeks ago, but is now dying down.

Why aren't the gun stores closed like most other small businesses? How much does the NRA have to do with them remaining open?

Here in Florida, we're seeing another case of America's gun madness. Is this happening in your state?

It happened in my state, but now they are closed. They had lines out the door before then.

There is always Walmart.

It's always sad when a courageous front line defender has paid the ultimate price.

Somehow, in my mind, it always comes back to Trump not having done enough early enough. I believe that Sgt. Ayala's blood is on Trump's hands, along with so many thousands of others.

I worry with so many armed to the teeth it would only take a spark to cause mass violence. So many wars have started with some spark like that, then it spreads. Used to always hear that there was enough nuclear weapons to wipe out the world several times over. I assure you there are enough guns and ammo to wipe out the entire US population many times over.

But prior to them being shut down the news was saying most stores had their inventories cleared out of everything. Read that many of the sales people were saying their long time customers were buying the bulk ammo but most of their gun sales were all first time buyers.
