Novartis paid Trump lawyer Michael Cohen $1.2 million for advice on Obamacare

Drug giant Novartis revealed Wednesday that it paid President Donald Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen $1.2 million for health-care policy consulting work that he proved “unable” to do.

The company also said it has been questioned by special counsel Robert Mueller’s team about the payments to Cohen.

NBC News reported later Wednesday that a senior Novartis official said that Cohen reached out shortly after Trump’s election “promising access” to the new administration.

Novartis said it signed a one-year contract with Cohen’s shell company, Essential Consultants, for $100,000 per month in February 2017, shortly after Trump was inaugurated as president.

Back on March 20th, Novartis announced it would donate 130 million doses of generic hydroxychloroquine.

Today Trump is saying the government will be purchasing the drug for the national stockpile.

Novartis is the same company Michael Cohen helped obtain access to Donald Trump.


Also: Apparently Rudy Giuliani bought loads of stock in Novartis in February and, like Trump, has been pushing the idea of using hydroxychloroquine even though it is largely untested for Covid.

I need that drug for my lupus and I’m freaking out. He’s putting all of us patients who need it at risk. This is unconscionable but not surprising. I already had trouble getting my last prescription filled. I’m worried. It’s bad enough that I’m in a high risk category for the virus but now I may not be able to get the drug that keeps me functioning . I just hate him so much.

It’s been obvious at his RALLIES/”pressers” that he’s been pushing the malaria/lupus drug. When he said, “TRY IT!” somebody said, That’s it/he’s TAKING it himself. And I said, yip he loves him his drugs. Plus that he’s probably got a deal for a cut of the sales. Then he launched into a full fledged Infomercial for it. And somebody else said a few days before he had been handling the boxed product like a hand model from The Price Is Right. And I said that he’s all about MARKETING on reality shows, that he’s trying out for Shark Tank run by his nemesis Mark CUBAN.
