Who will the regular guest stars share space with on the podium today? We can count on Mikey Pence to make his standard gestures and speak quietly to "The American People." Dr. Birx will show off her scarf of the day, while speaking in terms Trump does not understand. Dr. Fauci might make a cameo appearance, depending on whether he argued with the show's star earlier.
But, who else will appear? Will it be a Public Health Service "Admiral" in a uniform he almost never wears? A random military man in camo? Some administration Toadie who knows nothing about anything having to do with medicine or disease, but who will wax ineloquently at length?
Who will get the "Fake Media" award of the day?
It's a boring soap opera - "Toadies for Trump" but it's on every afternoon and has a rapt audience. We can't turn away from it, it seems.

(61,695 posts)It's just human nature to want to see how deep the pool of shit trump constructed is, and how far trump will wade into it.
It's hard to watch, but it's hard not to watch because you want to be armed to combat the latest misinformation.
Parade of Specious Promises is another name for it. I didn't watch yesterday.

(2,248 posts)...expect AT LEAST two to three mentions of "Under the President's direction..."
Barf. Like he's directing anything.
I gave up watching these days, if not a week or two, ago.
I really do believe Americans are tuning these pressers out. NBC national (not MSNBC) has gone to just running video of the president, but having the reporter summarize with a voice over. Occasionally they'll pick-up a soundbyte.

(1 post)I have recently read some of Dewey Lambdins novels, and his name for toadies seems appropriate for trumps creeps, particularly pence.
