Bush was so shitty. Guiliani was so shitty. And our own government was so awful with their posturing and ass kissing to the religious right in this country with their pompous religious singing, that I felt like I would never be comforted again. Then, the Queen spoke and had her band play our secular, nonreligious national anthem. A void was filled and I felt better. Our own government at that time? Nothing. They were universally a bunch of religious right jerks.
Cuomo has really stepped up. He's an example of how to lead. We have him this time around at least. And the Queen spoke to her people and I felt hope. We can get hope somewhere at least that way.
Trump? Nope. Nothing. He is making everything worse. Every time he opens his mouth, the stock market goes down and I die a little more inside. How many Republicans can one person endure in a lifetime? I have had 6 Republican presidents and only 3 Democratic presidents in my lifetime.
I'm just waiting for Trump's "Heckuva job, Brownie" moment. That is all that is left for him to do. Then again, he has those every day, in a way. Have you heard the latest from Trump's statistics person and their screwed up non-math? Something about 80% doing ok but "only" 50% not doing ok. I can't remember, but the math definitely didn't add up.
