I posted about Franklin Graham blaming the coronavirus on Americans "sinning..."

On Saturday.

https://www.democraticunderground.com/100213234644

This morning, a one-day old little girl died of the virus.

What "sin" did she commit?

This reminds me of the story of King David from the Bible, he screws around with the wife of his best friend, makes sure that friend is killed, and how does "God punish" the two of them?

Kills their baby.

Talk about lousy aim!

3. I think the idea was just the 'sin of the country', not the individual who's stricken

Of course it's utter fucking crazy-talk either way, but ... that was how I interpreted his lunatic ramblings

When gay people were dying of AIDS... "Look at those gay people dying from AIDS, because of their sin!"

When other people started dying of AIDS... "I didn't mean individual sin, I meant collective sin!"

Jerry Falwell was notable for holding both positions at the same time.

taking the little girl. There's no reasoning w/ these idiots. They are a big part and reason why a huge chunk of America is turning away from these types of religions, where one person is the focal point of the religion. God would be angry / is angry being that these 'fake' preachers of the 'Word of God' have corrupted his message so much, all basically for one thing, money in their collection plate.

5. I went to a Christian school for "nursery school" to "pre-kindergarten"

to kindergarten then through 6th grade.

We had chapel services every Tuesday and Friday at that school. The preacher preached about Deuteronomy 23:2 one time when I was about 8 or 9 years old. I knew then that Christianity was not going to be my religion. The preacher kept repeating over and over again, "If you don't have a father, you don't belong to God. You are the literal spawn of Satan."

So, God DOES do that. God punishes the child for what the parents did. And if you read Deuteronomy 23:2, it carries over unto the 10th generation. So, even if I had gotten married and had a kid, that kid would still not be allowed into Heaven and would STILL be considered a bastard.

So, that's why people like that asshole preacher at that Christian school I went to as a child, Franklin Graham, and Pat Robertson, and most of the other right wing assholes say the things they say. Unlike most of their followers, they opened the Bible and read it.

For the record, that brand of Christianity sees children as "sinners" and says they are going to Hell unless and until they are ̶h̶a̶l̶f̶-̶d̶r̶o̶w̶n̶e̶d̶, Baptized. I forget the word they use for it, because I had decided Christianity wasn't going to be my religion by the time they started harping on that heartless garbage.

The Bible does say a lot of this stuff, but those asshole preachers are still heartless pieces of shit for constantly blaming gay people, random women, and everything else under the sun for every single bad thing that comes along.

Which contradicts his earlier message that Trump was the chosen one, because it was God’s will because God controls everything.
Placing those statements through the filter of scientific method, I could summarize a theory that Trump Created the Virus

I wish that was complete sarcasm but it's not. It's practically a quote I've heard out of a Baptist minister's mouth on such an occasion.
