The Navys higher-ups need to show that they share the respect that most Americans feel for the captain and ensure that there is still a place for courageous men like him in the Navy.

I'd also like to know how many discrete attempts he made to try to rectify the problem before sending an email to 20-30 people (and if that's even true).

I don't know the escalation path for him and it could be a senator or something but I can understand Crozier sending out a loud SoS if his normal CoC isn't acting quick enough

(17,003 posts)and not know how to work your chain of command. I cant begin to imagine how desperate he felt to resort to the tactics he eventually used to ensure the safety of his crew. Someone definitely should be fired over this, it just shouldnt be Capt Crozier.

When an administration is as corrupt and incompetent as this one is and when their failures are both a result of that corruption and incompetence as well as THEIR politicizing EVERYTHING then the only sane and democracy protecting thing to do.
