The Republican Party is a death cult.

So, mindworld denizens -- how apropos is Albert Camus' 1947 novel, The Plague, in precursing what we are going through today? Not only does it highlight the absurdist nature of the world, depicted in the nature of an existential point of view -- which I wouldn't be surprised to see in people and societies suffering in plague cities today -- but it also shows the way a focus on economic matters, putting finance over people, contributes to the crisis. I feel as though a concern with the problems caused by predatory capitalism and greed is completely validated. You can also look at this article from the LAT:

Thinking of Nazism as a death cult makes for appropriate analogy to the present day Republican Party. Since Trump has wholeheartedly embraced Nazism and Nazi tactics, and the GOP has moved toward Russia’s brand of oligarchical corporate fascism, that end result is death and destruction of everyrhing and everyone in sight that they can use, exploit, strip, or steal from in their insatiable quest for more wealth and power which, believe me, is never enough.

Donald Trump is running a brutal criminal government designed to make him, his family and minions powerful, wealthy, and in complete control of any assets or resources they can get their hands on. We already see what Trump et al are doing with the piracy of medical supplies here and across the world. Nothing and no one is sacred to them. All other humans, life forms, resources, and places are expendable.

Trump even just signed an executive order to mine the moon for crissakes! Think about this. He and the corporate fascists have made their move for complete domination of all resources while the rest of the world is dealing with a deadly virus that he can also use for financial exploitation and consolidation of power..It’s mean, it’s ugly, and it is the culmination of the Nazi death cult.
