Between our governor and lt governor we are not going to see real numbers for some time. Not sure if we will ever know the truth.

Thanks for posting. As suspected, my state Arizona is well below average (but lot as low as Texas).

A quick glance at world of meters indicates Texas is near last in the country in tests per 1million pop

Edit: dead last for states, only PR is lower

Apparently they are screening travelers from Louisiana now.

Deaths are at 5/million. I think that is the best indicator. Per capita cases is too tied to amount tested.

Texas has 29 million people. Looks like they don't have enough tests either but you'll never hear Abbott speak up about it.

Since churches are "essential" there will be more infected people walking around. Dallas is planning a march thru downtown.

Meanwhile state parks are closed by order of the governor.

So, to clarify: everyone can pack into a crowded church, but you cannot go to a state park because of distancing.

You see what we're dealing with here. Looney Tunes.

They definitely don't deserve to go about life as usual while infesting everyone around them.

It just makes no damn sense.

also, don't forget we have some of the highest uninsured numbers.

Many counties have shut down, but cases are still growing.
It will be a while before it peaks.
Dallas County Judge Jenkins is a hero because eveone else, including the Gov were/are dragging their feet.
Dallas County drive through testing is open
to anyone. Google Jenkins if you want to keep up.

I was tested, but came back negative.
I'm in neighboring county. I went
to a privately owned urgent care.

Will be pretty obvious if the case numbers there stop all together, and they are stupid enough to do that?

numbers are not being counted. There were four in the hospital but the people lived outside the county line so they were not included in the numbers.

All the info I have on Texas.

They use the county you live in and not the county you're hospitalized or die in for the official record.

15. I personally know people in TX who should have been tested -- they are sick

and were closely exposed to known cases -- who haven't been tested.

I don't know what it takes to be tested there, but there is little testing being done.
