A friend of mine who lives in Northern Va. (she doesn't work for NRA) said it was "everyone". Can't confirm that but apparently large numbers were laid off.

That's one of the reasons the NRA has been in trouble. They can't afford the big boys anymore.
Gotta go hunt for my teeny, tiny violin.

(22,124 posts)long it took all of them to figure this out?
We all need to work together, to stifle the spread of this deadly disease by working together, socially apart, washing our hands, watching our coughing, being careful doing all kinds of normal tasks, and not playing w/ our guns?
Guns don't help really too much in these kind of cases, anyways.
If you tried to hit a penny from a 100 feet away, during target practice? It is not easy but it can be done.
Imagine then trying to hit a human being infected with the virus (as these gun nuts would advocate, to 'protect' themselves and theirs), from 100 feet out or so. The mess from hitting a person is a nightmare to clean up,
even with a 22 caliber, believe me. I cleaned mobile homes from reprocessed mobile homes (from the banks, we'd get a fee to clean up, sell), and sometimes the clean up involved blood splatter (thank god only a couple of times, but that was enough). Having to suit up, use nasty chemicals, etc. was a mess I don't wish on anyone. That's why I feel for these hospital workers, it's a nightmare that they willingly put themselves into. Our heroes!
And these people want to use their guns to 'protect themselves'...it's probably the worse thing one can do, now-a-days. Aerosol the coronavirus infected blood around the premises. Opps-a-daisy!

(8,329 posts)Per Politico they are letting 60 go. They have a big building in Fairfax so I dont know how much of a dent 60 is. They have a cafe and museum, my bet is that is where the job loss is coming from. The Hired Guns will be safe for a while as the gun manufacturers are having a great month in sales and will continue to kick in for NRA law suits to keep gun stores open during the pandemic......
