that we the people have a major opportunity and are already half way to making it happen. The economy is the "precious" for this monster so what if we refuse to go back to work until a number of resignations take place?

Seriously, we are already in a pseudo general strike. We might as well keep on and state our demands. Because of the situation we must do so to survive and that should take precedent over all other matters including refusing to continue in a messed up economy that does nothing for us.

I'm with you on the economy being his Achilles heal, but I fear that if he opens up and jobs start coming back, people who are hurting will flock to get employed again.

But, I like where you are thinking outside the box...how can we drive the economy point home? I don't think it will be better by November. Perhaps we just need to hammer that fact in at all times. A concerted effort by the media to drive that point home. If we could get our Senators and Congress people to be on the same page regarding messaging like the repugs always are, we might have a chance at changing the discourse.

People will start helping even more than they are when there is a clear path forward with a predictable resolve. We have used all the tools available except this one that I recited. We can refuse to allow him the power he thinks he has and that is to just tell him "no" and "get the fuck out".

With all this time to evaluate life at home, people are coming to some sound conclusions about what we have been programmed to believe for a long time. I am guessing that given an objective to abetter way forward is what we can get on board about.

With leadership (Joe Biden) we can get to the a green new deal that will reshape life in our country and create a new economy that doesn't include the bad actors we have been following over the cliff. We need to point out the benefits of doing so which will include a more sustainable existence for us all.

So strengthening our support networks now being created to live through the pandemic, we should continue in that fashion until we succeed at running the criminals out of government. We can starve them faster than they can starve us if we look out for each other. And that would lay some groundwork for what we want going forward.
