I don't think that is true. The U.S. has 246 million more people than Germany. CentralMass Apr 2020 #1
Note how different the death rates are. We're likely not testing as much kysrsoze Apr 2020 #4

We have. 401,166 cases, Germany has 109,329.

Germany has ~80.6 million people. The U.S. has ~326.6 million people. So we have 4x the number of people. Per capita Germany has more cases then we do.

on a per capita basis... unless they’re just that much more healthy and younger than we are.

Germany:
Population ~87 million
Cases 107k

US:
Population ~300 million
Cases 410k

At least officially, they are not that far behind the U.S. What I did notice is their death rate is significantly lower than ours. I’m assuming this is because they are testing much more of the population, and in reality our total reported cases are much lower than actual. So yeah, this meme does seem to hold true. That is not good news for us, being run by a pack of science denying imbeciles.😤
