So what happens if we go "substantially above 100,000 deaths"? (Original Post) Solomon Apr 2020 OP
We won't. They knew that when they set the first 100,000 marker. Funtatlaguy Apr 2020 #1

They want to say.....look how well we handled this, so much less death than expected.

This number was set as high as possible so that anything below this will be total victory because of Trump.

Anything higher would be blamed on Newsom, Cuomo, Pritzker, Whitmer et al.

Especially with some people so eager to declare it over. That'll start it right back up again.

We will be well over 100K, maybe over 200K by the time the vaccine is ready and completely distributed. Of course that will be well after November so hopefully someone else will be in charge by then.

This is going to be a long, dismal journey.

I'd be shocked if we didn't see a second wave this fall and winter. Possibly a third wave in the spring of 2021 if no vaccine is widely available by then.

he is really good and this kind of BS, set the bar high and declare victory when the final numbers come out.

He has the blood of all who died on his hands, no matter what the numbers are.

That headline is from Salon.

If we go over 100,000 - no problem.
