WHO Funding: Trump's Oral Horsefarts vs. Facts. USA and China Contribute Equally.
After Trump finished grunting out his oral horsefarts at todays COVID-19 briefing, just for the heck of it, Forbes posted the actual numbers.
The World Health Organization is a branch of the United Nations. The United Nations is a favourite target of right wing jackoffs. Therefore, Trump's advisors (ie-Miller) have, no doubt, decided to try and link China to the WHO, as the new LIBERAL VILLAIN. At todays COVID-19 conference, Trump pulled a few 'facts' out of his ass, claiming that the WHO is 'very JIE-NAH CENTRIC,' and that China spends (he got a little confused between billions and millions) "$42 million" while "we spend $450 million" contributions to the WHO budget. He substituted 'billion' a few times, not that it matters. (Although, if ANYBODY was contributing $42 BILLION to the WHO, the world wouldn't be in this shit-hole situation.)
Just for fun, Forbes decided to post the actual numbers. Contributions to the U.N. and the WHO are proportional to the economy of the contributing members. The United States donates $58 million (about ONE QUARTER the cost of paying for security on Trump's GOLF weekends), while China donates exactly half that much, at $29 million; in keeping with the Chinese economy being half the size of the U.S. economy (China $13.4 trillion GDP vs. USA $25.3 trillion GDP).
So, don't fall for the bullshit. Pro-rated to the size of the economy, the USA and China are contributing the same amount to the WHO, which is practically nothing to begin with.
(And yes, for the record, Trump's voice sounds exactly like a horse farting with a Queens accent. Check and compare.)
