Over the past few weeks, President Donald Trump's coronavirus briefings have become a daily occurrence at the White House. They've also become regular venues for falsehoods, misleading information, revisionist history and outright lies.

By CNN's rough estimate, over the past three weeks Trump has made at least 50 false or misleading claims at these briefings, which in many ways have become a substitute for the political rallies he can no longer hold due to the coronavirus outbreak.

2. Why is he in these briefings at all now

He is lying most of the time intentionally misleading people with lie after lie, and nothing from the GOP stopping this in a time of national crisis. He's using these to personally promote propaganda , while he attacks the truth . Sounds like we're in russia with putin in charge. Why is the media showing him do this ? Until the media changes this it will continue, and get worse. We're seeing propaganda briefings like putin and others use instead of the facts .

That is all I have heard for 3+ years. Why don't they write and read the news the way the DUers have written in the replies above mine? We use the correct word (LIES) and start out with that word, not end with it....

5. He's laying the groundwork for a negation of the election, should it be necessary.

Underfund the postal service, criticize mail in ballots (they're paper and can be checked), utilize the coronavirus crisis to limit voting, close polling places (longer lines to discourage voting, especially in black, Hispanic areas), lie about voter fraud, and the usual crap about 'fake news'. That should do it.
