In mid-April, likely the week of April 13, the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee expects the Internal Revenue Service to make about 60 million payments to Americans through direct deposit, the report said.

These payments will go to taxpayers who used direct deposit to receive tax returns in 2018 or 2019, and Social Security beneficiaries who filed federal returns that included direct deposit information.

In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online, so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail.

8. Who knows

Who knows when it'll actually be. The horror stories I've heard in regards to small businesses getting money, my guess is they may try and get that situation straightened out first, before the individual checks get sent out. Compounding the problem is the fact there's now no one to oversee where all of this money is going.

I figure it will be weeks before they even figure out who is going to get them and how much and then probably sometime at the end of the month of April, and only if our government manages to subdue - temporarily their incompetence, will we actually start to get the stimulus checks.
