When Trump talks about the people who have died, the workers on the front line battling this virus, his words are emotionless. It's like he reading from a script that somebody told him he must read.
Trump sees workers as a tool to re-open the economy. He wants people to go back to work so the economy will improve. He does not care if they die. I have no doubt Trump will try to re-open the economy soon. Many Republican governors will listen to him.
More proof Trump is a textbook narcissist.

(5,122 posts)he will do to try to save his own skin. It does not matter how many lives are lost or ruined. Now that social distancing has been shown to be effective and it looks like we may have a lower death rate than previously predicted, The Fox News talking point is that shut down was unnecessary, as if losing 60,000 people instead of 100,000 people should be acceptable.
Ingram even had a banner that asked if the shutdown was to crash the economy to make Trump look bad or some bullshit like that.
