Treasury Secretary Mnuchin says US could be open for business in May

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Thursday that he believed it was possible that the U.S. could open back up next month.

“I do, Jim,” Mnuchin said after CNBC’s Jim Cramer asked about reopening the economy in May. The comments came during an interview on CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street.”

“I think as soon as the president feels comfortable with the medical issues,” Mnuchin added.

Experts have cautioned that the reopening process could be a long one. “What we are going to have to do is loosen the tap gradually, not open the flood gates,” Dr. Tom Frieden, a former head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said earlier Thursday on MSNBC.
Frieden said that the U.S. will have to vastly expand the number of daily coronavirus tests it is administering before the process can begin.

I thought this was going to be worse. I guess everyone did. Thankfully it doesn’t appear to be. The experts have lowered all predictions the last day or so.

And how does he know that?

Oh, when the Dear Leader magically determines that its alright, which means it would only be for Dear Leader's sake and the proles be damned, those disposable, annoying fleshbots.

So, we ask a suited clown what's up? We might as well consult the Tarort, I-Ching and get a counsel of witch doctors on it, no? In fact, we might get better results that way rather than being subject to capitalist goons looking to open their money funnels faster in order to shave and sheer the sheeple, or business as usual.

Ah, the air is so fresh and clean today without the thick layers of various kinds of petrol-pollution. Amazing. It's like the curtain raised at a clean air show.

Yeah, that's precisely where I go when I want to get the best, most thorough and up-to-the-minute medical and epidemilogical information: movie producers. Because who knows more about medicine than them? Who can you trust if you can't trust one of the three executive producers for Mad Max: Fury Road?
