Why do the reporters, cable news, local news and every other form of news outlet call him out on these very provable lies. The first is that "a General, maybe the biggest General told me they have no ammunition". "The military had so much more ammunition than it could use that Congressional investigators recommended giving more away." Giving more away to state and local law enforcement.
