and he reminded me this morning that in one way, Good Friday is "good" because Jesus couldn't have been resurrected if he hadn't died in the first place. So, I understand that. For me (I am a church-going Episcopalian), the day that is the most somber is Maundy Thursday. It's the night of the Last Supper and the night he was betrayed by Judas. Our service is deeply emotional and I missed it greatly this year. Our choir is exceptional and the music we sing is lovely.

But even so, the way he tweeted HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY - as if it were HAPPY BIRTHDAY - shows that he doesn't understand any of this at all.

They say that he's like Cyrus, the Persian ruler who liberated the Jewish people from captivity. So it's okay, they say, that he's "imperfect" -- because God is using Trump for his will.

Makes me wanna just throw up.
