Re Lincoln Project I'd like input from others

I have been tempted to throw a few bucks their way. I think they have some of the best stuff out there against Trump. However I pull up short when I remember who they were before Trump and what they'll be after. Is anyone on here donating to them? And what are your thoughts on the subject?

1. I don't think I would donate to them.

That being said, I wouldn't be opposed to sharing their ads, and adding a disclaimer that this is a prominent conservative group that is actively campaigning AGAINST Donald Trump.

They just want to exploit us to get rid of a higher-priority enemy before turning on us.

But if you look at the situation, they are stuck with us for a while, even as they won't admit that. Their party is ruled by racists and rightwing White evangelicals, until the chamber of commerce republicans, Urban and Surburban republican men and women start showing up massively to vote in their primaries, they are going to be stuck with people like Trump and McConnell ruling their party. So they need us for as long as it takes for them to regain control of their party, my guess is that is at least another generation.

Remember they're made up of Republican campaign consultants and operatives. The only impact a donation from you would make is another name on their mailing list to sell. I can assume that spam from sources that want a return to the "normalcy" of the Bush administration isn't your thing, right?

Seek out other people producing hard-hitting stuff, or just chip in to bloggers and podcasts that are struggling but who provide some pushback against normalizing conservative talking points.

I do appreciate the input. I do believe at this point in time the stuff they are airing is priceless.

6. Yes, it's hard-hitting. But they already have big-ticket funders

What I'm arguing for is to look for organizations and people who are on our side and for whom donations are much more critically needed.

Payback Project. They're targeting the most vulnerable/reprehensible GOPher Senators in this cycle--that includes McConnell, Collins, Graham, Tillis, Ernst, McSilly, and others; eleven in all. IMHO, they are aimng the money right at a lot of the targets we would like to hit. They're getting the big majority of what I'm not donating to Biden.

Let Never Trump republicans and fatcats that hate Trump fund them, IMO. It is your money, so do what you want, just remember that once they are rid of Trump, they are coming after us.
