but they don't think it will be enoughPaying the bills for April and May is a concern for millions of Americans who have lost work due to COVID-19.
According to calculations by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, unemployment could reach 32% by the end of the second quarter of 2020. Over 6.6 million jobless claims were filed in the single week between March 26 and April 2.
The stimulus package, outlined by the CARES Act, will give every American making less than $75,000 per year a check for $1,200, and up to $2,400 for couples making less than $150,000 per year combined. The checks will phase out for people making up to $99,000 per year, or couples making $198,000 per year. Any person with children under 17 will also receive $500 per child if eligible.
According to data from Bankrate, 67% of Americans anticipate receiving a stimulus check from the government in the coming weeks and months.

File this under no shit Sherlock. But then this stimulus is brought to you by the same people who thought the middle class would buy a new car and do a kitchen remodel with the tax cut the Republicans gave them.

fortunately we are in a fair financial position and really are not hurting. I do feel for those who are now or will be shortly as this thing spins out of control.

BTW,So the Orange Anus is proud that the death toll in the US will be under 100k. Never never ever forget,we lost 68k Americans in a Rethug ginned up war in Vietnam to save the Michelin Families Rubber Plantations for Ho chi Ming. And Private Last Class Bone Spurs is about to own the distinction of being in the same class as Mao and the Red Scourge as well as Paul Pott in Cambodia.
Great company yes?
