Wouldn’t flagellation or a hair shirt be enough?

Use the time to clean your baseboards, cut your cuticles, do a jigsaw puzzle.

Do it for humanity, do it for your sanity!

of Dementia Speech to English. He couldn't explain his POV without the listener having to fill in the blanks because he used "it" "them" "they" repeatedly instead on distinguishing between the insurance companies, the businesses, premiums (he never used that word), claims, loss, etc.

My MIL has dementia and she'll make a statement with vague nouns, pronouns, etc. I ask her "what?" to try and get her to mentally search for the words she just heard on TV. But I still have to fill in the blanks.

I think being alone since March 21st is penance enough and spending Easter making a pork chop and binge watching whatever. ..I can't imagine what someone directly affected is going through. It's a nightmare that doesn't end. Very early this year I confided to a coworker that I had a strong feeling in my gut that 2020 would be a disaster with tremendous trauma. She said.' Oh no don't say that!" Of course I wanted to be wrong. I'm sorry, having a very bad day.
