Published 9 hours ago on April 10, 2020By The Conversation
At several points in the history of our planet, increasing amounts of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere have caused extreme global warming, prompting the majority of species on Earth to die out.
In the past, these events were triggered by a huge volcanic eruption or asteroid impact. Now, Earth is heading for another mass extinction and human activity is to blame.
I am an Earth and Paleo-climate scientist and have researched the relationships between asteroid impacts, volcanism, climate changes and mass extinctions of species.
Much more at link & many great reference links in article.
This is a salient point! Rather than trying to rush to "reopening" our country, we should be looking at how to do so in a way that will not obliterate humans as well as all the innocent species.

and whatever skeptical responses you wish. I think it's true, but I am a fuzzy person who doesn't always respond well to logic.
just a suggestion and make up your own mind.

There's been reports of so many things clearing up with human activity being slowed down. Maybe instead of reopening everything, companies can realize we dont all need to be commuting and polluting every day!
But I am probably just wishful thinking
