I'm not a healthcare worker although I had an extremely physically demanding job when I was younger.
Watching Rachel and The Last Word, seeing those totally exhausted, demoralised, frustrated and betrayed doctors and nurses, holding their heads in their hands, sheer exhaustion seeping through the gaps in their fingers like cold, grey mucous - my heart broke.
This tragedy is beyond Trump, who has never felt a day of physical exhaustion in his life. Never considered that the wellbeing of another human was worth more than his own flaccid skin.
I don't know how there will be any relief for these exhausted workers.

(3,246 posts)It's heartbreaking.
I'm thoroughly exhausted just from cooking and cleaning for everybody all the time.
And, I only know one person who has died from it. And, that alone was so very, very sad.
They see many people die alone everyday.
I can't imagine what it's like to be on the frontlines with this virus.
They are all heroes.

He is one of them.

Hard to reason with such insanity.

(28,333 posts)So many people are dying because of Trump. Our grocery store workers and others should have had N95s a long time ago, let alone everyone in health care.
Trump wants to dole out the PPE and vents to those who pay proper tribute, and he's holding my life as some kind of sick bargaining chip to extract his "due."

The need and adrenaline kept me going I didn't know I was tired until the Sheriff said go home. It was then it hit me like a weight falling on me. I could barely drive the three blocks to my home.
