The danger of opening up the country too early is, we have to repeat what we are doing now.

If we open things up and then tell people we have to shut down again because the virus is spreading again. That could be more damaging to the economy than if we just waited till the healthcare system catches up, the testing catches up to the virus. Commonsense says wait, wait till we are better prepared and then Slowly try to open things up.

Opening things up in early May is insane, which means Trump and the Republicans will do it.

whatever they say now-a-days is worth a damn thing, after all, they let the CV rage onto our shores unhampered), the deaths of all, should this start all over again (the CV), is squarely on them and them alone.

Of course this is already squarely on them now. They're desperately lashing out trying to sort through the mess they themselves and those they listened to, made.

I fear Trump is going to do something ridiculously stupid that will end way worse than it started.

I've barely survived this month. I just hope that there's a real vaccine available sooner than later.

I sure am not in any hurry to go to an type of public event, sit down restaurant, theater or alike. If others are, well, have a nice time. When the vaccine is widely available then hopefully we can return to a more direct social society. I just don't see how we could before that point.

The likely cause of the second wave was disregard for the standing instructions to shelter in place and keep distance. People gave up. The second time around was catastrophic.
