I received a phone call this morning telling me my benefit had increased.
I called the number on my card and the increase has already been added.
The amount I received for a single member household more then doubled !!!

(25,816 posts)I've long been of the opinion that everyone (however exactly we want to classify "everyone" should get SNAP. It would help out a lot of people who simply don't qualify under the current system, and might help more well off people understand why it's important.

I've decided I'm going to take my stimulus money and give half to a local homeless shelter where I volunteer, and the other half to one of the local food banks. As soon as they money hits my account I'll call each and find out how they want me to get the money to them.
