Ma (Little Star) passed away today at 5:08 pm eastern.
She loved DU.
She passed at my home that we shared for many years, with her four daughters comforting her.
Hardest thing I ever had to do, but the most necessary.
She was one hell of a strong woman. My best friend, my rock. The smartest, the most common sense, one hell of an intuition, full of life, strongest, loving women one would ever be privileged, to know.
She is no longer suffering, but I am going to miss her more than I could possibly express.
Rest In Peace Ma.

It's hard to lose your mom. Peace to you. And RIP Little Star. 
I know what that "hole in the heart" feels like, but I'm forever amazed now that I can see so much of my late Mom in myself and in my sister. She is definitely still with us in that respect. And I can much more readily remember a funny or happy story now after time has passed, rather than the pain of loss. May that happen for you and your sisters too and may your mother RIP.
I am glad you were able to be together for that. Many will not be able to with the virus. Virus or not, my mom will be going soon and I hope it's after the isolating s over but I'm thinking it will be sooner. Called her today to try and chat, she was lucid today so I made sure to tell her I love her, I never know if it's the last time we will ever speak.
Do take care of yourself.
What a beautiful description of her. May she rest in peace, and may your grief ease in time, knowing you did all you could for her and that she knew she was loved.
Your posts about her here on DU showed how much she was loved and honored. I wish you peace as you learn to live with this big hole in your heart.

and I am still in shock and dealing with it. He used to say to me when I was little, "Where are you, little star...here I am". I hope you deal with your loss better than me.

Sounds like she was a very special person, you're lucky to have had her for your mother. 💞

She was very fortunate to have such loving children and to have spent her last hours with them.
I lost mine last year. But you'll never lose her love.
So sorry for your loss.
Moms are with us forever in our hearts each day.
Mine is still, after all these years and at 72 now I walk with her often for solitude and repose.
RIP, Little Star.......
It's rough. Very rough. Some day, once you get through the worst of it, you will be able to think of her and smile. I haven't reached that stage yet.
