a simplified income tax form in order to get paid $500 for each child living with them. This would apply to a lot of grandparents who have grandchildren living with them. If you are on SS and do not have dependents living with you then you probably don't have to do anything to get your payment.

(86,577 posts)puny little pittance of a tax break W gave us once upon a time, all that was taxable. Seemed like everything that you touched was taxable with that regime.
Was there some kind of check when Obama administered the Stimulus? I don't even remember back that far.

(2,256 posts)I receive SSDI. My wife and two of our kids receive a SSDI stipend payment because of my disability. All four payments are direct deposited. We have no other income. I know I dont need to do anything. Does my wife need to file taxes? Do we file on the kids?
