Meals at restaurants or gatherings at home . Everybody else not celebrating the holiday could be finally out and about at all the retails stores now open and enjoying the shopping offers or going to Disney , a movie or game
Anyway my thought was the science community must be supported and stay strong in government
Because I dont trust trump along with some random entities like the marketplace and certain sects of organized religion to come together alone and make decisions for me about a virus

(149,580 posts)I read that his advisors spoke to him about the possibility of his losing the up-coming election if he didn't start taking the news about covid19 very seriously.
He heard them.

(7,430 posts)Trump will blame others for holding him back from "opening the country." Trump has no power to do so and he knows it, but he can blame common sense people for holding him back. So all through the campaign, Trump can bellyache about how "they" have done him wrong. As always, he's the almighty victim.
And what? 42% of the population would lick his feet?

(25,841 posts)so Easter doesn't mean much to me. But I do understand how important it is to many others. And all of those others should understand that we are a long way from the end of this. And they'd better understand that staying at home is the right thing right now.
I have a good friend who is an observant Catholic. His faith means a lot to him, is an important part of who he is. While he's not about to break the stay at home orders, he was feeling a bit distressed about not being able to go to mass tomorrow. I was able to help him and let him know the times he can watch an Easter Mass on EWTN, and he was so happy. And I was so glad to be able to help him.
We really are all in this together.

Your friends catholic church was going ahead tomorrow but Catholic archbishops of Chicago + New York, have canceled all masses. It s up to all local church leaders to do the right thing by cancelling and offering some alternatives

(25,841 posts)I thought I had made that clear. He knew he couldn't go to Mass, was distressed, and I was able to help him find an alternative.
I apologize if I wasn't clear.

(11,885 posts)To believe first it was a hoax, then blamed the Democrats, china, WHO, and others, while he refused to do anything, even help the states. He's so desperate he'll claim he's doing a great job, when everyone can see he's doing everything he can to prevent help, hide the numbers, and use it as a weapon against the American people now. He intentionally is hurting us now, repeatedly coordinating with Putin and his bots for messaging , and will try to rig with Putin another election for him.Maybe this time they'll undermine the electoral collage to do it this time.
