I didn't celebrate Easter today.

Nothing to celebrate. I have a President that wants to kill his political enemies by controlling where the federal effort to combat the pandemic is applied. I am alone and really don't find a goddam thing to celebrate today. Sorry, that is my reality.

and apparently feeling down. I didn't celebrate, because I don't find the holiday to be of much importance to me, just another day, but I know it does have meaning to others and I respect their feelings towards it.

It was also Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day if that is of any help. I didn't celebrate that either but it's a bit more light hearted.

5. Truth be told, I probably wouldn't have celebrated the event if times were good.

Too many years of Jesuit education that make me question the whole story of Easter. Pretty much an agnostic on the whole Jesus story. If there was a god-jesus, he ought to be smoking that hypocrite Pence in front of a national TV audience. That'd get my attention.

Turns out he was in class or 63? IIRC, I knew a Fauci that was a pre-med heavy hitter in my class, but it wasn't this Dr. A nephew? Maybe!

15. Not sure. Just saw a Steven Colbert / Conan O'Brien interview where they talked about it.

Colbert's dad was valedictorian, Class of '42, O'Brien's dad went there also. All 3 went into medical, microbio, infectious disease fields.

IF, you could survive their Pre-Med curricula. 800 started, 150 went to med school. Very hi placement if you survived the 4 year program. I got my exit ticket punched after my freshman year.

I changed my clothes but I have been feeling really crappy all day, digestive problems of which I have yet to determine the cause. Sipping Gatorade right now. Moving on to CBD hemp tea after.

Had colored eggs, Hungarian sausage (but no Easter bread) and wine. However, the wine is called Schwarze Katz (Black Cat) Riesling, since today seems more like Halloween.

It was great to see family get together and it is all about the young ones. It seems that Easter is now another toy buying opportunity for the the young ones, lol. I got a bunch of pics today and I said it appears that Linc and Tristan had the best Easter-Christmas ever!

I am not religious, but usually Easter is a time to get together with my nearest family members. We usually have a nice dinner together and the kids get Easter baskets. I kind of miss seeing them, but it's ok. I spoke to them on the phone and hopefully this will all end in a few months.

I completely understand your frustration. I am in a blue state that is very hard hit and not being helped very much by the federal government. It make me pretty angry.

I’m not letting circumstances dictate my actions.

We had one person over. The only person we regularly see. She is stuck all week in a 700 foot apartment alone and we do stuff with her all the time. Well, except she runs 8 miles a day so she does get out. We all practice social distancing otherwise. I know it is a risk. But life if full of them. But had we not done so she would have been alone.

Had French style braised leg of lamb rich with rosemary and thyme, potatoes braised with the lamb and green beans. CDP wine from 2012. Beignets for dessert. I got my Louisiana on tonight!

Sorry you are alone right now. That will end. My 81 YO mother was too. Killed me. But the sister and I, with Mothers agreements will not put here at risk. I’m still working so am the biggest risk factor. That end Saturday when I get furloughed.
