I'm glad they're getting to explore.

I wonder how long it will last.

I understand where you're coming from: our human point of view. We need our outdoors.

But they need it too.

to our (new) normal and we take back the streets and yards. These animals look like they're having a blast without us around. Good for them!

How nice, too, that the air is cleaner and mountains have again become visible in the distance. One has to wonder if nature has a sense of humor and sent us COVID as the way of telling us to back off and take care of this place we have been loaned.

...but those Japanese deer have had free run of those streets for years:

...and that calls into question the legitimacy of these sightings as "stay-at-home related."

That said, there's no denying that we need to stop turning the world into an overpopulated trash dump, and that it CAN turn things around if only we allow it to do so.

near my neighborhood. It is usually populated with boats and sometimes wind surfers. The shore has clam diggers in season and otherwise human visitors. He was darted and taken elsewhere to protect him from humans.

it just makes me a bit sad knowing that us humans will be in control again and the animals won't have this freedom anymore. I'm glad they have it now though to enjoy Thanks for sharing it!
